A simpler explanation yes. More reasonable, no. It makes more sense only if Nicole was really the victim of a rage killing, not a killing staged to look like one, and the fame, fortune and influence Fuhrman got from the killings and the frame-up were a fortunate byproduct of his actions. It also leaves the people who had to be involved in the murders with no good reasons to get involved with Fuhrman or the murders. Tying up those loose ends without the drug connection or legitimate law enforcement duties carried out illegally gets far more complicated than it does with it.

The more you know about the relationship between Gates, Madam Alex and Fuhrman, the more you will see what I mean. The less you know about them the less sense it will make. The only way Fuhrman could have carried out the murders with assurance that LAPD Internal Affairs, the California Justice Department and the federal government would give him a free pass is if he was involved with all of them in a way they wanted to hide. Bad cops involved in shakedowns and other criminal activity outside the bounds of official policy or accepted norms get busted all the time.

CID (the military’s Criminal Investigation Division) is not authorized to investigate civilians. Civilian cops have no jurisdiction on military posts. To investigate crimes involving military and civilian personnel, the MP’s (like Fuhrman) and the civilian authorities have to cooperate. When they cut corners on the law, they hide it.

An undercover cop either has to LOOK like a rogue cop or someone who isn’t a cop. The cops assigned to Heidi’s girls looked like rogue cops. Some of them (like Brambles) were. To be effective in infiltrating the organization all of them had to look that way. If the “good cops” where using illegal means to do their jobs before they could effect the sting, everyone involved was vulnerable to imprisonment The Bundy murders put everyone involved in the Madam Alex/Heidi Fleiss affair in jeopardy The authorities had to close it down prematurely. And they did. Illegal drugs tie all of these people together.

It’s hard to see how Fuhrman could have met Nicole before she hooked up with O.J. (by the way, I need to make a correction. Nicole moved in with O.J. on Rockingham in 1979. He met her in New York in 1978). Fuhrman didn’t get assigned to West LA until 1984.

Finally, racism ALONE usually explains only the surface of things. Hitler was a racist but racism didn’t drive him to “the final solution.” It was his ambition to conquer Europe. The leaders of the Confederacy were mostly racist (so were most of the Federals). But they also had a huge financial investment in slavery. Racial segregation in the North and South kept most blacks and whites in the lower classes right where they were and insured completion for the lowest paying jobs. If you want to see what an ambitious racist does to advance himself at the expense of “them,” follow the money. –Jasper
