Maybe Christopher Darden had a role in this case also. He was in a movie made in 1997 called One Hot Summer Night. Played a jaded cop investigating a murder. A rich sports tycoon, Barry Bostwick marries beautiful Elena Eleniak, a young business woman hired by Bostwicks company to help him with business strategy. They marry on the first date. Shortly after he has fits of rage and starts abusing her. He resumes drinking and becomes more violent. She fears for her life and seeks out a young handsome divorce attorney,Brian Wimmer She confides in him and he is sympathetic and they start having an affair. The tycoon is found murdered. Wife and lawyer become prime suspects. At the trial it looks as tho she will be convicted. Lawyer breaks down on the stand and confesses to the murder to spare her life and goes to jail. The last scene shows Darden, Eleniak and a hitman they hired celebrating in Europe.and Eleniak says "I always had a way with men" This was a really good movie. Many similarities to the Simpson case. Article promoting the movie says Darden wanted to be an actor since high school. He also had a brother who was into drugs and died at the same time the Simpson case was going on. Could he have given Furhman some help.
