O.K.,
I didn't know there was commentators using the Othello similarity before and misassigning the roles to "black" Othello etc.. With that in mind, i couldn't think of a better title than "Iago" either.
In any case, the similarity of Mark "Iago" Fuhrman advancing himself at the cost of O.J. "Cassio" Othello is also true: While O.J.'s recent public appearences were met with lots of "booos" from the crowds as he quickly went from door to (car-)door, MF stands upright in interviews, is credited as a crime analyst, bestselling book author, and in a bysencence, former cop accused of glove planting by O.J.'s lawyers. Just like in Othello, Iago has truly taken Cassio's place. He's achieved fame, money, reputation, O.J. has lost fame, money, and all reputation.
With these "good cop" MF presentations, i wonder does anyone remember the closing statements of the criminal trial of both M.Clark and J.Cochran, where Clark uttered lots of accusations about MF ("i'll not even call him a detective, he's not worth of it") and Cochran said it's like standing up against Hitler. Either the media always liked MF and always hated OJ, or MF must be a genius in show business...
